Art League of Alexandria Mark Exhibition for September 2017

East Meets West Exhibit

These three paintings were accepted to be part of the Falls Church Arts exhibit, East Meets West.  The opening reception will be Saturday, August 19, 2017, 6:30-8:30 pm, at 700 B West Broad Street, Falls Church, MD.

La Roque al Rec, Watercolor on Paper matted and framed to 36 x 24 inches. Several years ago, while painting in Provence, our teacher, Janice Beck, gave us a paint by numbers drawing.  We each painted a piece of the painting and passed it on to another artist to do another number. We each ended up with a collaborative painting.   I loved the scene so much that I repainted this version when I got home.
